Proven Effectiveness

Backed by years of research in clinical trials

Why EZ Wake works!

Bedwetting is a really common, but often overlooked, problem, affecting as many as one in ten children under the age of 15. Aside from the obvious sleepless nights, awkward sleepover invitations and extra washing, bedwetting can also affect a child’s self esteem and lead to further mental health issues in the future. However, it’s actually very easy to treat.

Bedwetting alarms are proven to be the most effective way of getting most kids dry, and works up to 70% of the time. This is because they train children to wake up on the sensation of a full bladder without the risk of side effects associated with medication.

But…

Many children fail to wake to conventional bedwetting alarms. Our new alarm, EZ Wake, overcomes this problem with our brand-new Memory Game concept, developed over years of research by Dr. Caldwell and her team of medical doctors and experts in the child continence space.

Our Memory Game ensures children are fully alert and awake when their bedwetting alarm rings, a crucial and often overlooked step in training children to wake up to wee. EZ Wake is brand new to the market, and the only bedwetting alarm with this unique technology. Our concept has been clinically trialled, and is proven to be as much as 15% more effective than the current alarm treatments

To help make it simple and easy, we’ve created a pocket-sized, wireless device and smartphone app that connect via Bluetooth. The app helps kids track their progress, motivating them to continue with treatment and helping them to get excited about getting dry.

How To Use

About Bedwetting Alarms

Did you know that bedwetting affects as many as one out of ten children aged under 15? And did you also know most of these children can be cured within six months, without medication?

Even though bedwetting is such a common issue, and can lead to significant mental health and self esteem problems, many parents don’t realise how easy it is to treat with the right tools and professional help. In fact 2 out of 3 sufferers don’t seek medical advice and continue to suffer in silence because they think nothing can be done.

Nocturnal enuresis is a sleep disorder

Bedwetting (or ‘nocturnal enuresis’ to the doctors!) is essentially a sleep disorder. There are three components that can influence whether a child wets the bed or not.

1. Deep sleep
When a child is asleep but their bladder is full, signals are sent to their brain to wake them up. Many children who wet the bed have problems waking up from this signal. This is similar to other sleep disorders, such as sleep walking, sleep talking, teeth grinding or night terrors. Bedwetting alarm training is the most effective way to treat children who cannot wake up when their bladder is full.

2. Bladder size
Every child is different, and the size of their bladder naturally varies, and can also change based on how much they drink and whether or not they’re constipated. Drinking enough water, maintaining a healthy diet and treating constipation is essential for helping children stay dry overnight.

3. Urine production
This is to do with natural hormones in the body, as well as fluid intake. Drinking too much in the afternoons or before bedtime, can contribute to bedwetting.

Regardless of your child’s bladder size and urine production, their bladder still sends signals to their brain when it’s full, which should wake them up. When they do not wake up, they wet the bed.

Bedwetting Alarms help!

Bedwetting alarm training is a simple concept, which is extremely effective. When children wet the bed, an alarm sounds to wake them up. Like Pavlov’s Dog, the brain couples the sensation of a full bladder with waking up to the ringing alarm. After a few months, most children (when properly trained with a bedwetting alarm) will wake up to the feeling of a full bladder without the alarm.

However, bedwetting alarm training is not perfect. It must be done every night, and it’s often a good idea to do it in consultation with a doctor. Studies have also shown that many children don’t wake up correctly, or do not have the motivation to get up, even with a loud alarm blaring in their ears. The EZ Wake was created to combat this problem, and help children wake up the right way. Our concept, which has been clinically trialed, is proven to be more effective than the current bedwetting alarms.
